Dermal fillers are designed to add volume, lift and symmetry to your face, giving you a refreshed and natural appearance. Most popularly used to plump lips and enhance the check bones, dermal fillers are a versatile treatment.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers, sometimes called soft tissue fillers, are substances designed to be injected beneath the surface of the skin to add volume and fullness.
Dermal fillers contain ingredients that add fullness to areas that have thinned due to aging. This thinning is common in the cheeks, lips, and around the mouth.
How do they work?
As we age, our ability to produce collagen and elastin decreases. This means our skin begins to lose volume and elasticity in key areas. Dermal Fillers are an effortless and affordable way to plump and hydrate areas that appear tired or sunken, restoring fullness. Dermal Fillers can last from three to twelve months.
When are they generally used?
Different types of dermal fillers are designed to treat varying signs of aging. Depending on the filler selected, they are used to:
- gently correct wrinkles and folds
- restore volume loss
- increase lip volume and enhance definition
- sculpt and shape the natural contour of the face
- improve tone and elasticity of the skin
- hydrate, plump and rejuvenate the overall appearance
What is the cost of treatment?
Cost varies depending on the area being treated and how much product is needed.
Dermal Fillers start from $220 + GST.
What is the difference between an anti-wrinkle injection and a dermal filler?
The main differences are:
Anti-wrinkle Injections: This freezes muscles to stop creases and wrinkles caused by facial expressions. These are typically found in the upper face, such as the forehead and around the eyes. Find out about our anti-wrinkle injectables here.
Dermal fillers: These use hyaluronic acid and similar substances to “fill in” or plump areas that have lost volume and smoothness. This includes wrinkles around the mouth, thin lips, and cheeks that have lost fullness. They may also be used on forehead wrinkles, scars, and other areas that need extra volume for a smoother look.
